The history of our optical shops
We’ve been in business for more than 50 years, starting with The Eye Shop in Greenwich Village, which served the neighborhood until 2017. Our second shop, Eyes on the World, took its name from its location in the World Trade Center, which was a brand new building when we opened there in the mid-1970’s. We closed that location when our lease expired in early 2001.
Eyes on Broadway
Eyes on Broadway opened in NoHo in 1995, specializing in the latest designers and fashion trends.
Eyes on the World
In 1997, Eyes on the World opened on Lexington Avenue in Midtown East, and this location offers both innovative designs and more conservative styles.
