The History of Eyes On Optical Shops

We’ve been in business for more than 50 years, starting with The Eye Shop in Greenwich Village, which served the neighborhood until 2017. Our second shop, Eyes on the World, took its name from its World Trade Center location, which was a brand new building when we opened there in the mid-1970’s. We closed that location when our lease expired in early 2001.

Current Stores

Eyes on Broadway opened in Noho in 1995, specializing in the latest designers and fashion trends. In 1997, Eyes on the World opened on Lexington Avenue in Midtown East, and this location combines innovative designs with more conservative offerings.
